This is a bit old news but who cares. At E3 this year EA announced there new/old Need For Speed game Hot Pursuit.

Criterion the Guys behind the awesome burnout paradise, have taken the horse by the head and threw all the crap that has been built over the years and left with the best bits of what made the original Need For Speed games so awesome. Fast Cars and Cops, but pushed into the 2010 of gaming with full open world and social aspect that should make up a lot of friendly battles to see who is the best at being a cop or racing away from the cops.

Wot i am Playing: Day of Defeat Source

Its been a long time.
Back in 2005 when Day of Defeat Source (DODS) was released, it was the only game i played for nearly 2 years thanks to help of running my clan the Band of the Hawks. What made DODS so great was the fast paced action quick respawn and team work.

While DODS can be a easy game to pick up it can be very brutal at the same time, jump on a clan server and you will be greeted with a very large death score and very little kill score. The Band of the Hawks was formed right after the Release of DOD source in late September 2005 most of the members where previous DOD 1.4 players most where very confident in playing the game a and team work.

in 2006 the Hawks entered the Gamespace Ladder 6 vs 6, with a 100% win ratio we came from being a very unknown team to one of the top teams in DODS, in the end we finished 5 which is a great achievement for a starting up team. as 2006 moved on members left and personallites clashed to say the least thus resulting in a disbanning of the team at the end of 2006 (was quite upset with the matter). since then DODS had taken a back seat to everything untill now.

2010 is the year i started to play DODS again and boy i missed it, jumping back into old pair of shoes after 2 rounds of Capture the Flag i was in full swing and at my original playing level with a bit of rusty spots.

if you like general shooters with a great community behind it then pick it up from steam is only $10 and is so worth it.

Wot I Think: Mafia 2 Demo

Short and Sweet. the end.
Even though it is the demo (full write up will come when game releases) it was everything that i dreamed Mafia 2 would be. The detail is second to none, get your shoes polished in the park, fill the car up with petrol, go to the car wash, have a coffee in a cafe, buy new clothes, or just drive around in your 50′s sex mobile.

Controls are tight and responsive the cover system works well and very easy to move around, my only grip is there is no jump more like a jump over object/sprint button (but you get use to it).

look wise is perfect from the views the environments, it just draws you in and is by far 100% better looking than Grand Theft Auto 4

I highly recommend that you go and download the demo on all 3 platforms! (PC is the best version) and experience this piece of art.

The First Teaser Trailer has just been released during the Xgames for all your Rally Energy Drinking goodness.
Codemaster seem to be going back to the long rally stages and less AMERICAN buggies and offroad vehicles.
